My Favorite Dog!

Some cards made with my favorite non-breathing dog!

I really enjoyed making the pop-up card!

Charlie Brown and the tree look SO much better now that I have Copic markers!

Gift tags! I had fun "sewing" on the left one.

The cards below have some ribbon that I bought cheap in the 90's at Perry's in Springtown. I had fun matching up the musical note and shape dies, and stamps to match the ribbon!

Sympathy Cards

Some sympathy cards that I've made in the past.
They can have any sentiment on the inside.

Horse Greeting Cards

Here are two horse birthday cards I made with my Cheery Lynn Designs horse. The card is by AccuCut that has the 4x6 slit cutout and the ticket corner die on the inside is by QuicKutz.

My Hero My Dad

I made this card for a friend to give her dad for his birthday last year. What shocked me was that I wrote the poem myself! It was a God send because I can't write poems, I just wanted something that fit and blessed both of them. I just started with "All through the years" and it just flowed. I wrote it down on a piece of printed junk mail of all things! I read it to her and said will this work? She looked stunned and said, it is perfect! I told her that I really had been listening to her talk about her dad and it just fell together.

She had told me about all through the years, her dad had been there for her. She had also told me how he'd raised her alone, had been there for her through the darkest days of her life and rejoiced with her during happy times.

The project got started when she said she wanted to get him a special card and hadn't found what she wanted. I told her that I'd make her one. I'd made several concertina cards recently and had just gotten the dies for the lace edge shapes. I wasn't sure exactly what I was going to do but wanted a recent picture of the two of them and one when she was very young and some pictures in between to illustrate the "All Through the Years" theme that I had in mind. We didn't have much time but she managed to find enough pictures to scan to make it work. I originally blurred out their faces but she told me to go ahead and post it without the blur. I had planned to make a regular size card but just couldn't bear to leave out any of the pictures. Since she was hand delivering it, it didn't matter what size! Oh, and the card DOES stand up!

This will probably be one of my all time favorite cards.

Kraft Cardstock Happy Birthday Cards

I was the happy recipient of two boxes of cardmaking  and scrapbooking supplies. Mostly paper, alphabet stickers and embellishments. This is what I made the day after I received them. I already had the kraft cardstock, inks, stamps and embossing folders. The inside of the cards are to the right.

I made the cards with "Party" hanging from the yarn or ribbon first and wanted something different and came up with this.
Found a NEW use for my gift tag dies!

Just a regular tag and the die "Celebrate". "Let's Party" was two sided paper so I cut out the front of the card so you could see the backside on the inside left.

Wanted the charmed alphabet die forever but bought it for a song and shipping a few weeks ago. I think "Party" looks so cute as a banner. Inside left is backside of Happy Day.

Love the little gift tag on this one. Used my ScorPal to crease the ends. Tag was creased in the middle as it was cut.

Finally decided that this alphabet works MUCH better with ribbon than with yarn.

This was the first one I made, didn't stay around long, one of Jeff's friends needed a birthday card for his brother THAT day and it was gone! He told me the whole family loved it.

One of my birthday stamp sets seemed tailor made for this! The Happy Birthday, Hats off to You! and the hat on the inside came with the "My Sentiments Exactly" set.

Penguin Cards!

I had the card embossed with snowflakes for a long time. I used one of my small white stamp pads and just lightly hit the embossed front.

Then I got this new stamp that I'd wanted forever but forgot to check back for a long long time. Went back and found out she was closing her online stamp business and got this little rascal cheap along with a dog set of stamps that has a DACHSHUND included! So, I got both sets. This one can be for ANY occasion, just make it with a different message on the inside!

The golf club is SILVER with a black handle but the scanner didn't pick up the metallic color.

Graduation penguin and inside left.

Penguin card with TWO different versions of the inside.

A bunch of my earlier penguin cards.

This is my first address book! Marnell lost hers in the move and needed to buy one. I said NO! I want to "invent" one! I have a Bind-it-All but wanted to use the coils so I used my WireMate binder. The WireMate is like the BIA and Cinch, just uses 3:1 wires and coils rather than 2:1 like the BIA and Cinch.

Cover pages are matboard cut with an AccuCut Baby GrandeMark. I LOVE matboard for mini album covers, you can buy huge sheets at Hobby Lobby or get scraps from a framing shop sometimes. I've cut matboard with AccuCut or Ellison commercial steel rule dies AND with the Zip'eSlim and Sizzix Originals/Bigz steel rule dies.

The pages are made with little 4x6 photo pages I got on clearance years ago. I got a bunch and wish I bought more. Works perfect with 4x6 index cards. I HATE having to use white-out or scratching things out when people change addresses, names and phone numbers.

I used my TH Tiny Attacher to staple the pages at the inside, used ATG to glue the rest of the plastic page to the cardstock page and covered with a border die cut.

WARNING: Cut the plastic sheet back so that your binding machine doesn't go through the plastic! VERY difficult to cut even sandwiched in between paper or cardstock.

I FINALLY came up with a use for all the verse stamp sets I had that didn't work well for cards! I like stamping the inside covers with verses better than covering with patterned paper. Hopefully, other people like it too.
