Tanya's Bon Voyage

Tanya is heading back to Louisiana tonight. I got the idea for the card this morning and rushed around gathering up the dies AND card stock needed to finish it.
The idea started with the New Mexico and Louisiana dies and a pickup die. The next thing I thought of was a chili pepper for New Mexico and the fleur-de-lis for Louisiana. I was looking for other travel stuff and saw the stop light die. This is the first time I've used it. I figured the metallic colors would show which was lighted. I did metallic green for New Mexico to show "GO" and metallic red for Louisiana to show "STOP".
I didn't find the pickup die I wanted, found this first, it is the VW wagon die that I "trimmed" to make a double cab pickup. I had planned to use my road signs but decided they would make it too crowded. Especially since I wanted a sign for the sentiment. I had several but the little "wood" sign seemed perfect.
I hope she likes it. We went to WalMart to give it to her just before she got off work and left. I hope she and her family enjoy the card and the beignets (official state doughnut of Louisiana!) that I made for her trip. I mixed, rolled and fried and Jeff did the sugar shaking. We WILL be making MORE! :)

Perpetual Calendar - Pictures of Flowers

I took these pictures at a friend's house in 2012 and made it into a calendar for them June 2013. It has a back cover with a tiny ziplock bag with all the months needed for any year! Therefore, you don't toss it at the end of the year, you just change out the months and you are good for another year!

The business card sized calendar is held in place by my new AccuCut NC595L Business Card Holder #2.
The page was cut with AccuCut F1504J no crease Folder.
I cut it shorter than normal because I wanted a smaller size and wanted to use the tabs. Two more of my favorite pictures below, I'll post the rest later, I'm trying to beat the deadline on entering!

Jake and Leo's Album

I made the mini album for our friends Ken and Sharon who were moving out of state. I took all but the pictures with Amanda on two different occasions last year. I had taken my camera originally to take pictures of their beautiful flowers. I took the pictures that included Amanda a couple of weeks ago.

I saw Leo in the window and took some pictures on a whim. So glad I did when I got the hilarious picture of his behind up in the air facing me and turning around to look at me! I had a mini album in mind and took some of Jake later but my idea didn't jell until I was faced with a deadline when their moved got pushed up.

I think my new AccuCut folder die is the perfect size for a mini album. I ordered AccuCut Folder F1504J WITHOUT a crease so that I could make albums and calendars with it.

This album is my third entry in the 3rd Annual AccuCut Grande Mark Challenge.

Cover, wasn't as nice as I wanted but I was down to the wire and had to do something!
Jake and Leo are cut out of gold metallic mat board and the front and back covers are cut out of terracotta mat board. Dog, Cat and & are cut out of shiny black mat board.

That "smudge" on the left tab is where I partially erased their last name.
I lucked out and got that paw print border die at Jo Ann's when we went to El Paso in March.
I've had the Paw Print alphabet stamp set for several years.

I fuzzed out Ken's face, I don't like to put people online unless I've specifically asked them.

Jake is saying PLEASE pick me up! He finally got his way!

As earlier, I fuzzed out his face.
Amanda was very happy sharing Ken's lap with Jake. Jake was just a LITTLE jealous!

The end of Jake's part of the album and the beginning of Leo's!

Leo watching his world.

Uh oh, must not like me out there taking pictures of the beautiful flowers and NOT paying attention to his beautiful self! :)

The end! The smudges are just hiding phone numbers and last names.

I was so happy that they really loved the album.

Leo's Collage

I made this for our friends Ken and Sharon who were moving out of state. I used AccuCut Paw Print #1 P1186J. I cut the paw prints and hearts out of mat board, it gives dimension to the collage.

I needed something cut out of mat board in the corners and chose hearts. I like the simplicity of this frame. This is my second entry in the 3rd Annual AccuCut Grande Mark Challenge.

Jake's Collage

I made this for our friends Ken and Sharon who were moving out of state. I used AccuCut Paw Print #1 P1186J and B1700S Small Bone dies. I cut them out with mat board, it gave dimension. I trimmed the bones to make them fit. I needed something cut out of mat board in the corners. I like the simplicity of this frame. This is my first entry in the 3rd Annual AccuCut Grande Mark Challenge.
