My First Feed/Seed Bag Tote!

FINALLY made my first tote bag from a feed bag, this one is from a bird seed bag that my friend Diane gave me a couple of months ago.

I used the directions from Rebecca Nickols Chicken Feed Sack Tote blog post. I checked out a bunch of directions, but Rebecca's was the best I found.

Next time, I won't wash the bag in the washing machine, makes it very wrinkled!

I have a horse feed bag ready to go, that will be next. Another friend reminded me this week that she had plenty more and I'd better get busy making bags!

Here is one that I made in January 2015 for the Peepology 2.0!

Happy Birthday to Me!

I was passing by a sign that said YARD SALE. Checked it out and got a paper making kit for $2.

This is the first paper I made when I got home.
I used the red and pink shown and some white. Should have just stuck to red! Thought maybe I'd get a dark pink. I'd been thinking about making paper for my cards and scrapbooking for TEN years. Finally made some! I have some tan about ready to take off the screen in a little while.

And here is the tan! This one is thinner than the red, I'm getting better at this! It is hard to judge how many scraps, the instructions say use 4 or 5 sheets of paper. I'm not only using cardstock but teeny tiny scraps of cardstock!

And here is a card made with the red! I need to try and get one that shows the texture of the tulip better. It is a very simple card but I just wanted to use the handmade paper AND get a card finished while it was still World Cardmaking Day!

Love, Anniversary, Wedding and Valentine Cards

Cards for Anniversary, Wedding, Valentine and any other special occasion.

QuicKutz Lacy Square and Lacy Heart sets. Below, you see the card open. I used the ScorPal to score cardstock first. Line up on one side of the die JUST inside the outside loop. If you look close on the picture above you can see where it is a little flat. In person, the slight flat area is almost invisible.

Below, you can see the card opened.

Various sizes of lacy squares used. Love is cut OUT of the white square and the extra "Love" was used on another card.

A2 card with Lacy Rectangle, two sizes of lacy squares and QuicKutz border die used from the QuicKutz Edge It set. The "love" and "you" are actually cut OUT of the white square, NOT a red word on TOP of the white square. The white words left over were then used on another card.

Dog Cards - Poodle, Lab and other dogs

Dachshund cards are on another section further down.

Mom Cards - Mother's Day or any occasion for Mom!

Cards for Mom whether Mother's Day or birthday.

This is Provocraft Fancy Pants alphabet die. I used the "W" upside down in MOM.

Christmas Cards

Christmas Cards that didn't fit in any of the other categories.

I made this card for a scrapbooking friend who has a dairy farm.
I cheated because she got some cards with a similar sentiment and decided I was making a card with that sentiment.

Unfortunately, I only have one cow die but the cow jumping over the moon worked great with the little Christmas tree! The tree was cut out of sticky back felt and looked so good that I didn't want to over do it and put ornaments on it. It looked perfect with just the little glitter star.

The two "Joy" cards are using the negative and the positive of the letters cut out. I cut Joy twice. Once with red and once with green and alternated the colors and wound up making 4 cards.

Joy to the left is the negative left after cutting Joy for another card.

Christmas Door, I think I got the idea from SplitCoast Stampers. It is hard to see in the picture. I need to make another and just take a picture with the camera, the scanner doesn't show the depth.

Two of my Silent Night Cards. The trees and mountains are cardstock with white embossing powder on top and the rest is stamped with white embossing powder.

Pile of Christmas Cards below! The only picture I have of some.
